Baby Carrot: The veal of the vegetable world, tender and succulent.

Thanks Steve B. Your vote has been counted.

I'd still like to vote for Andrew "@BrenniFresh" Brynjulson as the best vegetable. However, as that did not make the final 7, I will instead go with the potato. For obvious reasons.

Snow peas: because I discovered last year that I like snap peas and they look similar so it feels like I'm voting for snap peas.

    I vote for squarsh.

I'm stubbornly writing in a vote for garlic.

As for mesquite beef jerky, it's neither animal nor vegetable. At 90-percent salt, it's actually mineral.

Oil Can was so excited about mesquite beef jerky, I didn't have the heart to tell him that it wasn't a vegetable.

THESE are the choices? These? I'm voting for beef jerky.

Oh, and baby carrots aren't real babies anyhow. They're made on a veggie lathe.

I vote for asparagus because it tastes like spring and I'm tired of winter.

    jicama. no doubt about it
