These days Joe overlooks the radio side of SDPB along with friend of RGT Susan Hanson. After just over a year of negotiation, our people working with their people, signing papers, reviewing contracts, more papers, business papers, we've agreed that Rock Garden Tour will fill an 8 minute chunk of All Things Considered every Friday afternoon (4:00-5:30pm) on South Dakota Public Broadcasting.

This won't change our agreement with 89.1 KAUR. We'll still be blasting the airwaves live, every Thursday night from 8-10pm right here in the Queen City, with podcasts posted shortly after. The SDPB thing is just a most righteous bonus.

Weeks ago, Scott Gibson (Rock Garden Tour Garretson, SD correspondant) hooked us up with a pot full of tulips. Forcing bulbs is just one way that you can overcome the big winter blues in South Dakota. If you're thinking that these particular tulips look a wee bit Autry II, you're right. That's what happens when you jam the Misfits - I Turned Into A Martian at least once daily throughout the growing cycle.

Rock Garden Tour Podcast 14: Pour Some Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide On Me!

Oil Can pours a cup while Flowerman wonders what ice fishing has to do with Valentine's Day, not to mention hard core gardening.  

This week the original rock and roll garden show brings you bits and peaches from the obligatory Valentine's Day episode. While we spent most of our time trying to unravel complex mysteries of love, casserole, the Hamburger Inn's egg-burger and ice fishing Richmond Lake - we did manage to wrangle up some witty banter about food grade hydrogen peroxide's effect on the growing environment. Enjoy the podcast and keep it rural.
